Benoît Sillard appointed Chair of the Lefebvre Sarrut Supervisory Board

Lefebvre Sarrut, a European leader in legal, tax and regulatory knowledge, has announced the appointment of Benoît Sillard as Chair of its Supervisory Board, taking over from Vincent Barbier. In his new role, Benoît Sillard intends to guide the family-run group towards accelerated growth, building on its quality services and solid finances.

 

Benoît Sillard has held a wide range of leadership roles for prestigious international brands in the media, digital and training markets, as well as the French public sector.

He started his career in 1986 as Chief of Staff at the French Ministry of Culture and Communication, a post he occupied up to 1988. He then developed two major media groups. He joined the leadership of Hersant Group in 1988, where he directed newspapers and Fun Radio. Then in 1992, he joined RTL Group as CEO of Fun Radio and head of francophone radios. In 1999, he created TV-radio.com/ComFm, which broadcast different types of media continuously, and sold it to TDF in 2022. From 2003 to 2007, Benoît Sillard became an Interministerial Delegate on Internet Use for the French government to initiate a policy for promoting internet use and reducing the digital divide. He successfully launched the “€1 student micro-laptop” campaign. He then became the chief of Comment Ça Marche, an online media that progressively became the CCM Benchmark. Since 2013, CCM Benchmark has become the leading French digital company in France and the number 2 worldwide, available in 40 countries. Since 2015, he has managed BGT Investissements, which targets the internet and digital sector. At the same time, he is the CEO of start-up TestWe, a secure solution for online exams and a leader in e-education. Benoît Sillard holds diplomas in corporate law, public law (Panthéon-Assas University Paris II), comparative law and political science (Panthéon-Sorbonne University Paris I). He is 63 years old.
