Lefebvre Sarrut announces GenIA-L, the first European generative AI solution in legal publishing field

Lefebvre Sarrut, the European leader in legal and tax knowledge, has begun rolling out GenIA-L, the first European generative AI solution dedicated to the legal market. Integrated into NEO and QMemento databases in Spain, GenIA-L is now on the Spanish market and will shortly be available to clients and partners in Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Spain and the UK. This innovation will also be demoed on the company’s booth (#13-14) at the International Bar Association’s annual conference in Paris from 29 October to 3 November.

With more general artificial intelligence tools, legal and tax professionals run the risk of being misled by incorrect information. Thanks to Lefebvre Sarrut’s GenIA-L solution, legal professionals can now use GenAI technology with confidence, secure in the knowledge that the AI information and arguments are based on genuine, up-to-date legal facts from the company’s market-leading legal databases. The exclusive use of these trusted sources by GenIA-L’s proprietary algorithm guarantees reliable, relevant results to make legal professionals’ information searches faster, easier, and more powerful.

Olivier Campenon, Lefebvre Sarrut’s CEO, said: “At Lefebvre Sarrut, we continue to prioritize innovation as an essential driver of environmental, social and governance progress, and as an integral part of our commitment to keep our customers ahead of the curve. We’re all extremely proud of this latest product, which will give a boost to our customers in the European legal sector by offering them the power of GenAI combined with unmatched legal content and knowledge.”

Tried and tested by more than 100 organisations in Europe, GenIA-L incorporates a wide range of generative AI functionalities. The aim is to offer users information that is up-to-date, comprehensive and relevant to their specific cases, with precise, well-reasoned arguments and reliable evidence.

These functionalities include:

  • Natural-language interactions,
  • Real-time information updates,
  • Contextual recommendations,
  • Case law arguments,
  • Administrative doctrine for-and-against arguments,
  • Detailed legal advice and explanations,
